Why Reapt
People who work for themselves pay for their work from the same cards and accounts they use for everything else.
The record is all there. It is just everywhere: statements, inboxes, a receipt in a coat pocket. Turning it into something a CPA can review takes evenings nobody has, at the worst time of year. Whatever cannot be found in time is left out.
And nobody wants one more app to keep up with.
Why Amy
So Reapt gave the paperwork a name: Amy. You talk to her the way you would text a bookkeeper you trust, by text message, by email or on the web. Nothing to download. She finds the business expenses in the records you already have, so you review instead of collect, and your CPA sees where every number came from.
Amy is the face and voice of Reapt, because a conversation is easier than another app.
What we believe
- The professional decides. Reapt is not a CPA or the IRS, and Amy is not an accountant. You and your tax professional make the call.
- Show where it came from. Every number carries its source, so anyone reviewing it can check it.
- Say what is true, and keep it private. Our guides cite IRS publications and say when a rule depends on your situation. We never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
